Vulcan Venture - Undumped rev.?

Tokrot, my Batsugun programrom is TMS27c240 and Truxton 2 is M27c4002... so they are equals then?

When i read Batsugun as either TMS27c240 or M27c4002 i get "OCNI"
When i read Truxton 2 as either TMS27c240 or M27c4002 i get "COIN"

What does "byte-selectable" mean?

Actually i do have problem with 27c240, i get a warning message saying the chip either is put backwards or is damaged (i forced the read by ignoring the warning, and the read matched the mame rom), i don't know if this is specific only for the Batsugun 27c240 rom as i have not tested any other (don't know if i have more)... i will not do any tests before i checked with another 27c240.

I can read the 27c240 as 27c4002 without getting a warning message (the read still match the one in mame). And i could read the 27c4002 as 27c240 without getting warning message.

Now i just did read the 27c4002 rom from Knuckle bash (same romtype as truxton2) and the read becomes "OCNI".

It's Batsugun that has the 27c240, and as i said earlier i only have one 27c240.

I downloaded a couple of days ago but i guess they updated it again, they do it every day.

So why is Knuckle Bash read as "OCNI" but not Truxton 2, they use the same rom 27c4002?

Yes Knuckle Bash 27c4002 "ocni" matches MAME :-)
