1.So, your monitor is perfectly clean & all edges/dirt cleaned off with glass cleaner.

2.mask off the edges..and use some old towls to stop any surpluss water/CO getting in there..

3. Tape your old towls to the edges of the tape you put on the tube edge/black bar.

4. Get yourself some eye protection!..a pair of protective gloves & set up your powerdrill, battery cordless drills are no good for this.

Remember..Low & Slow!..No more than 200rpm's!...easy does it & be patient.

5...Mix up your Cerium oxide fine powder with a small teaspoon of water...your looking for a nice soft paste, like toothpaste..if you put in too much water add a little more powder, use the spoon to 'ladel' it onto your damp cutting/polishing head.

6. This glass polishing kit was only a tenner off ebay, you get four polishing heads & a selection of fine sanding discs, all graded. i did not use these as i was in no rush. plus a large bag of cerium oxide powder.

7.If when you start your mix is flying off..slow it down, polishing has to be uniform, don't press hard in one area, keep it flat parallel & sweep the whole screen every few minutes of concentrating in the 'bad' areas.

8. Also you will need a water spray bottle with a dash of washing up liquid in it...occasionally spray your polishing head as it will dry out & affect cutting!.
But don't have it dripping wet!....if water runs down your screen, then its too much..wipe it off before it runs to the bottom with your micro fibre cloth.

9.Check your work after half hour or so, wet & wring out a micro fibre cloth..wipe whole area & dry with paper towls..inspect your work, you will see the scratches slowly getting smaller & reducing...takes patience, but eventually, they will completely disappear like this! :awe:

I am very happy with the Tube now fellas...and the whole cabinet is now completely stripped again & the CRT is sat upstairs covered up & waiting for the rest to catch up!. :D
